The property for Texas Twelve RV Park has been in Rob’s family for six generations.  He was raised here and spent many days in his youth blazing trails on his Honda and rabbit hunting in the woods. He purchased his aunt and uncle’s property adjacent to his father’s property in 2006. He and Lisa, high school sweethearts, married in 2007.  Rob’s background was in the Sheetmetal industry, and he traveled extensively early in his career staying in RV parks across the country. Later in 2007, they opened a fabrication business on the property.  Rob retired from Local 54 in 2019.  They sold the business and began looking for something to do with the land.  Lisa worked in the medical field and was a Radiology instructor at the local college.  They knew they did not want to sell the land but wanted to procure it as a legacy for their children. With both having service-oriented careers, owning a business, and Rob having experience in RV-ing, they are seasoned in taking care of clients and customers. That’s how Texas Twelve was born. They grabbed some hammers and stakes and got to work creating a layout to offer big spaces while utilizing the structures already in place. They are transforming the building used for the fabrication shop into an office, showers, laundry room and lounge. So, over the last three years, they have poured their hearts and souls into this self-funded and self-constructed project.  The risks and sacrifices have been large, but the opportunity is truly a blessing.  When you choose Texas Twelve RV Park as a place to stay, you are not only supporting a small business, but a family that is grateful to welcome you to a friendly community that is rich in history.
